أعلنت وزيرة الدولة للشؤون الخارجية الإثيوبية، برتوكان إيانو، أن حكومة بلادها ستعمل على تسريع عمليات إعادة 33 ألف مواطن إثيوبي من السودان إلى وطنهم بسبب النزاع الذي يشهده السودان.
وفق المنظمة الدولية للهجرة، كان 3500 شخص من 35 جنسية في الأيام الأولى للحرب قد عبروا الحدود الى إثيوبيا. وشكل الأتراك 40% منهم والإثيوبيون 14%.
و على بعد 150 كيلومترًا من الحدود مع إثيوبيا، يتقدم ببطء طابور طويل من الحافلات الصغيرة التي تتوقف بانتظام عند نقاط التفتيش. عند نهاية الطريق، يرفرف العلم الإثيوبي: إنها نهاية المحنة لمن يفرون من المعارك العنيفة في السودان.
The Ethiopian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Birtukan Eyanu, announced that her country’s government will work to accelerate the repatriation of 33,000 Ethiopian citizens from Sudan to their homeland due to the conflict taking place in Sudan.

واندلعت الحرب يين الجيش و الدعم السريع في الخامس عشر من أبريل.
و أعلنت منظمة الهجرة الدولية التابعة للأمم المتحدة ارتفاع عدد الفارين من الصراع بالسودان إلى 5.8 مليون شخص.
و قالت المنظمة الدولية في بيان صحفي إن الصراع المندلع في السودان تسببت. في فرار 5.8 مليون شخص من منازلهم، فيما عبر أكثر من مليون منهم الحدود إلى الدول المجاورة.

وأضافت إن مصفوفة تتبع النزوح تُقدر نزوح نحو 4.7 مليون شخص، كما تسبب الصراع في تحركات عبر الحدود لنحو 1.1 مليون فرد إلى دول مصر وليبيا وتشاد وأفريقيا الوسطى. وجنوب السودان وإثيوبيا.
وأشارت المنظمة إلى معظم النازحين داخليا يعانون من أوضاع إنسانية قاسية، في ظل صعوبات وصول الإغاثة لهم جراء انعدام الأمن. وذلك بعد فقدانهم وظائفهم وأعمالهم
